Hi everyone
New to this site and my first post. I need some help from you good people. I am right now banging my head against the wall because I can't choose between a Series lll or a Discovery. A series 3 I believe is simple to maintain and fix in fact I've been told that if you can do Mecano then you can fix a series 3 and in my opinion a proper Land Rover. I know that they are thirsty and not exactly a comfy drive but I love them.
But now my search has been swayed towards a Disco simply by the fact that they are more of a family car with the same umph of a series 3. I am a family man and I like the 28 MPG, 80 MPH and a few mod cons. But the question to you lovely people is, are the Discos just as easy to work on as a series 3 and in your opinion which should I go for? I wont be going off road with it but if I see an opportunity to do so then may. But I want a Land rover of some description because they seem easy to work on and I need a good towing vehicle for my various trailers.
Please give some kind of feed back to which one I should have, good and bad I love the Land Rover but which one Series 3 or Discovery I just don't know !
Many thanks to you all for your help and I will keep in touch.
Fred
