I've got a series 3, it's been fitted with a transit di engine, works really well! The gearbox is the original series box and transfer box, but recently blew the transfer box and wont engage 4wd! So was thinking of a 200 or 300 box and transfer box! I'm running range rover axels! Is this possible? If not or if so any one got a box for sale whether it be a 200 300 or series box? Cheers! Fred

have you blown it up or dislodged selector pivot inside front out put housing does it still drive okay apart from not selecting 4wd

not a straight forward swop.....longer box than a series so you have to move the engine forwards or chop up your seat box
Well I'm not to clever on the old transfer box never had one apart! It won't select 4wd anymore and also had to nurse it home in 1st earlier as there was a juddering as if one of the half shafts were loose but nothing looks damaged, gearbox was fine but juddered when it picked up speed!

more than likely worn bearing in transfer box one behind hand brake would be first i checked
