New to the forum but joined a year ago. Well I've had the ol' girl just over a year now. A 1982 Series 111 88, just about all original, except raised up and big General Grabber tyres.... looks the nuts.
Just flew through the M.O.T. today (my 2nd one since ownership) with an advisory on slight oil leak on gearbox, lol.
My question, or next thought is about joining a local club and looking for advice now I know the landy is a good'un !
The problem is I'm a bit "towny" where I live and don't want to drive 50 miles just to get to a club and wondered if anyone else is in the neighbourhood for ideas. Also I would just like to do a bit of greenlaning and need to sort out some tow/recovery points as I have no towbar at present and front bumper is only bolted on. I believe I have the choice of "Essex Land Rover Club" & think there is one in southend End.... we can't all live in the rolling countryside you know Any thoughts would be appreciated
