hi

i have only been driving my landy for a week now so i am expecting things to go wrong as it has not been on the road for a while, but i got back home today and could smell diesel so i lifted the bonnet with engine running and saw diesel dripping of the oil filter housing and onto the floor, so i was looking around the pump area and found a leak coming off of the throttel linkage where the throttel cable is connected to,has anyone else had this probolem? if so is it a new pump or an easy fix? he says haha

help would be much appriciated !

Yes, both shafts have two "O" rings. I did a small thread on this with a few pics on the "series" section, "yet another diesel leak part 2".:D

Diesel injection pumps are decent bits of engineering manufactured to high standards of precision. Dirt will wreck the thing quickly - so the utmost care must be taken when taking the thing apart.

I also had that, bought a lil lucas cav kit from ebay and swapped all the bits and bobs over. It came with new gaskets, nuts, filters and all that gubbins. Been fine since :)
