Series 2A with Isuzu 2.8TD -Desperately Seeking: replacement alternator

Afternoon All,
(New kid on the Engine block)!

Got a Series 2A with an Isuzu 2800 Turbo Diesel block.
All was well until alternator packed up.
As there's no original VIN available and the original alternator is a rebuild so unmarked, I'm having difficulty knowing what a good replacement unit is. So phone calls to Isuzu and others prove fruitless.

Can anyone suggest a compatible alternator? Hope so.

you'd probably be better off finding and visiting your nearest dealer or Isuzu garage with the alt in yer hand in the hope they might recognize what type is was

or a rewind/repair company

Find a scrappy with an old Isuzu Trooper 2.8 & see if the alternator matches.
