Hi I have fully rebuilt a series 3 gearbox with over drive that my mechanic has installed with a new clutch and full series 3 hydraulic system into my 2a.
All new slave and master cylinder and lines.
We cannot get enough travel to work the clutch and an extended pushrod from the slave cylinder to the clutch arm seems like a logical solution. But we need to know how much longer and where can we get one.
Please help my Easter trip to the Eyre peninsula and some really big fish depends on it!!!

you have an issue that needs sorting rather than a mod to overcome it , has the release lever got its nylon socket for the pivot,is clutch cover warped ,correct slave ,master cylinder rod adjusted correctly etc

I'll check on the nylon socket for the pivot, I'm not sure, but thanks for the suggestion. The clutch cover is ok, and we have tried several new slave and masters that multiple sources here (Adelaide) have indicated are the correct items.

I keep thinking about this and if the hydraulics are working as they should the the slave piston will move far enough to lift the clutch so the problem must be lack of movement of the release arm or with the clutch itself.

A torch in the bell housing inspection hole might give you an idea of what's not happening as it should.

a poor clutch cover wont clear however much movement you have ,
