Sorry should have took notice when I stripped them.
Just about to start rebuilding both axles. Noticed rear half shafts are slightly different in size at each end, didnt notice when taking them out. Which end goes inside axle and which end sticks out.

Whatever half shafts you have they are not standard 2a which are 10 spline and have a thread on the outer end to clamp on the flange with a large nut. But do agree circlip goes on the outside of flange.

They came out of the rear axle , the fronts have 10 spline inside the axle and 24 on the outside, if that makes sense, just what was in there. Is that normal, ? pic of axle they were on

Right Im getting a bit worried now.
What the Hell have I got. Don't know what the PO has done but these are the axles I have stripped in pic.
Rear Salisbury has 24 spline inner and outer shafts. Front has 10 spline inner and 24 spline outer. pic of 24 spline drive members rear and front
I just took all this as normal, Is it Normal ? should I put back the same.
