Series 2 body looks lopsided

Yet another question on my new Series 3: I do mean Series 3 - The thread title is a typo.

When the vehicle is parked and viewed from the rear, the body seems to lean slightly towards the driver's side.

What could be the reason for this?

more serious note: they do that. If it's too much, it might be asking for new springs and bushes. or yours are mounted wrong (they're sided), or are cheap. or just plain old.

wouldnt worry too much about that though!
 
tyre pressures, uneven load, soft springs or shocks, leaf broken in middle springs, springs mounted on wrong sides , they are heavier duty one side, hence off set engine and gear box position and side positon of transfer box and props, or just for fat bastard drivers ,
iv even seen 1 tonne and different rated springs mixed !
or as usual its just gerrin old,

Are you clinically obese?....Just trying to eliminate factors you understand :D
 
The whole thing leans (body and chassis). I believe one of the tyres may be flatter than the one the other side. I will have to get some air into them.

Also it leans with no load or anyone in it so the weight inside it isn't the problem.
 
It was delivered on Wednesday, I was working on Thursday and Friday, I have only had today to look at it. I haven't got round to checking the tyre pressures yet.

I don't have any way of checking the pressures at home, and cannot drive it until I can insure it when I'm 21 next month so can't check it at the garage yet. I will borrow a pressure gauge off someone at work on Monday.
 
jack it up, take each wheel off in turn , roll them down the local tesco garage and use the inflator , if your really quick , your 20 p wont run out

So don't you think it would be worth a bit of investigation before you get us all scratching our heads? Just to see if you ACTUALLY have a problem....
 
it hasnt got ****part parabolic springs on has it.If so thats your problem

It's not on parabolics, it looks to have the original springs.

The tyre is not completely flat, it just looks like it has less pressure in than the one on the opposite side.
 
Sort the tyres and then check the axle to chassis distances - the correct ones are in the manual - all sorts of reasons they might be wrong. Rusted spring leafs, worn springs, worn bushes, windup in bushes, wrong springs fitted. Of course, there's those that will tell you the lean is deliberate so that you can travel horizontally along steeper slopes but, like the haggis, only in one direction.
In fact the springs on the drivers side are slightly stiffer to cope with the fuel load and the fact that most vehicles spend most of their time with only the driver in them.
 
Mine leans that way and I have checked a few, they all seem to!
Seems like fuel tank, battery and driver on the same side give it a tilt.(non canvas)
