Series 11a Gearbox

When I try to drive landrover after few yards the gearbox jams,
Have since removed top of box to find that selectors do move but the gears on shaft are tight/siezed.
They do spin when engine is running but cant select gears.
Any help/advice greatfully recieved.

are yer detent plungers and springs ok?

i am listening, as my gear box is on the way out and this man might know what he is talking about......................
