Sadly due to mrs rog being made redundant her company car is going back, clyde has to go to fund a daily drive for her
Hard top SWB Diesel series Land rover in green and cream.
Built in 1963, road registered in 1971.
Either way this makes it tax exepmt.
Returned to the road last year for the first time since 2005
Mot and tax until August.
Age related plate reads SER 2A. as you can see above
The front end is very definately series 3 (dash is series 3 soft dash), rear end is series 2...or so I am told.
The good
The Chassis and bulkhead are in excellent condition
Four new tyres (no spare)
New cylinders and brake shoes up front
New battery
Starts runs and stops as it should.
The (not so) bad
The engine is smokey on start up, soon clears. Last year MOT advisary on smoke but I have improved it a lot. (could do with a new timing chain)
No syncro on gear box but slow up change and double declutch down change prevents any grinding.
GPS speedo fitted, speedo drive cable not fitted.
The ugly
Although the panels are pretty straight the paint is sketchy
being a bit flakey and patchy, I have seen a lot worse.
There are a few spares which will come with it.
I want around £3000 to include the reg number, I would accept sensible offers for the vehicle without the reg.
THINGS TO REMEMBER! This vehicle is nearly 50 years old! It is nothing more than a multi-seat tractor, it drives like an old tractor not a modern car.
