freelander 1.8 fan wont kick in changed 1 sensor had a bad wire sorted that bled the water system that was fine now being told head gasket could have gone can anyone help

Why do you want your fan to kick in? Maybe it´s not getting hot enough for the ECU to switch on the fan. And why do you think the head gasket has gone? Is the oil milky? Was there sludge in the coolant you just drained?

BTW.... my fan doesn´t kick in either, but the temp gauge never gets above halfway so I´m not too worried.
