Selling a used 110 chassis

Thinking of getting my 110 300tdi chassis swapped for a galvanised one. Theres not really anything wrong with my current chassis, but Id like to do it now whilst I have the cash.

Question is, is there a market for used chassis, and what price do you think it would fetch (assuming it is in decent order)? Whatever price I'd get for it would help offset the price of a new galvanised chassis.

if the chassis is as good as you think it is why not get it galvanised, ergo saving you buying a brand new galvanised one!?

That could be a good idea.

It appears to be ok on the outside, but what if its rusting on the inside?

Would galvanising over unknown rust just be asking for trouble?

I guess theres no way of knowing what the inside is like unles I cut it open, which Id rather not do.

Stick it on ebay somebody with a knackered one will want it. Will fetch more than you'd get for it at the scrappers.
