Self Levelling Units on 110

Just found out that my SLU is defunct (continual clonking underneath). I don't do much towing so I could just remove and replace with heavy duty springs on the rear but there is a bit of me that wants to keep the vehicle original. Does anyone know of any reconditioned sources that don't run into the hundreds?

heavy duty springs will give you a much harsher ride. If you want to do away with the self leveler but maintain a progressive suspension set-up then assister springs from a 130 are the way to go. They will still set you back around £130 though.

I got around to fitting my assister springs about 3 weeks to a month back. They are fooking great. Much better ride than having the HD springs like I'd fitted to my previous 110.
