Hello,
Last year I participated in the Plymouth Dakar Challenge
http://www.plymouth-dakar.co.uk/ in a ford transit van which we
donated to a health center in the Gambia.
This year we would like to go a step further by taking a truck loaded
with various equipment. The truck would be auctioned for charity on
arrival in The Gambia.
I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me find a yard or
dealer, or give me some contacts for a suitable vehicle, which must
be: cheap, diesel and left hand drive.
Do you know of any websites, yards, auctions etc where I might find
what I am looking for?
Perhaps someone has something old lying around that you would let go
cheap or donate, there was considerable media interest last year and
there will be more this year. It's a great trip/adventure and the
proceeds go to charities which are listed on the website. I am aiming
to fund the trip through sponsorship.
Yours Hopefully,
Joe Hooker
PS there are numerous photos in the gallery section of last years PDC
on our team web site. www.rustsafari.com
PPS feel free to forward this mail to anyone you think may be
interested or could help.
