Hi chaps and chapettes,

Been a long term Landyzone contributor to the Range Rover section having owned a few over the years, but my girlfriend has had a hankering for a Defender for an age, so when one of the Range Rovers went south over the last few weeks (threads abound about it in the RR section) we thought to draw a line under the P38's problems and get her the Defender she has been wanting.

The wishlist for short but specific.....had to be a 90, had to be a pick up, had to have chunky tyres, and to be lifted, and had to have sliders of some description....

So, whilst browsing a popular vehicle market place on t'internet, we came across our new acquisition....

She has the 200Tdi from a Disco so not the standard 200 unit as fitted to the Defender, but she pulls well and whilst won't set the world on fire, is capable to keep up with traffic!!

Now she does have 2 problems currently, and I am hoping with your guidance you can point me in the right direction....

I'll keep this as my 'welcome' thread and I'll start a new one for help on the most pressing issue currently....non-functioning wipers!!

Fun drive, and she is over the moon with it....a far cry from the L322 and P38, but I think it is great car.....she loves it so to her I am now the best boyfriend ever!! :D:D:D:D
