Freelander 2 (LR2) SD4 Autobox issue

2012 SD4, issue with humming type noise when stationary and still in drive eg, at traffic lights for example, put it in neutral and noise stops. Drive off and all is well.

Are you new to the car or is this a fault thats appeared? Is it a vibration?

With the bonnet up, in drive, stationary with foot firm on brake, can you work out where its coming from under the bonnet? Does it do the same in reverse?

Thanks for replying. Have had it 8years now, done that can’t seem to wok out where it’s coming from, does it also in park aswell booked into garage Tuesday so hopefully know more then

Have noticed the rumbling noise also when switching on main switch to clear windscreen

Lift the bonnet and listern to where it's coming from.

Problem resolved, cheap fix too bolt snapped near intercooler hose so vibrating against under tray, drilled out bolt new one in happy days, thanks for help
