I am the recent owner of a metallic green 1996 Disco 300tdi. Which overall is in excellent condition. However one thing is bugging me. On the drivers side door is a scratch which looks as if someone has been trying to polish it with a brillo pad. Its not a deep scratch just unsightly. Ok I know what you are thinking...Its a bloody landy for gods sake its supposed to have a few dents and scratches! However I am a new landy owner and find this philosophy difficult to accept at present so I am reverting to type and want to get rid of it. It has crossed my mind just to bung a sticker over it...but I wouldnt be able to settle knowing that it was there. I have tried to polish it out but to no avail.
If someone has solved this problem before and knows of a secret failsafe magic potion without having to resort to a respray I would love to hear from them.
I shall now retreat to a safe distance and wait for 'friendly' abuse to be hurled at me from all directions!!
Bet you yella is first in the queue!

On my 90 I religously polish all the scratches out with a mixture of one part Sperm whale oil, three parts fresh aardvaark sperm and a dash of albatross guano. I find this removes all those nasty scuffs and scratches one gets in Morrisons car park.

ffs boyo if you don't wash the landy then little scratches don't show.. simple really. keep it covered in **** then none will show it even fills in minor dents. and the really good part is ..ach you can find that out for yourself

Auto Glym sell a scratch remover but these are no better than what you might find in Halfords. Removing a scratch requires polish on top of polish on top of polish. This is a gradual process and can take some time. You have to ask yourself if it is worth doing this on something like a disco.

WHAAAAT!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER!! NEVER!!! EVER! EVER!! EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

use blue whale oil. 'KInnell don't you know anything!

I did hear that it could be filtered through a Malaysian virgin. But they are difficult to get hold of, so if a blue sock does the trick you could try it.

Though if it doesn't work don't go shouting about the information given on Landyzone is a load of bollocks. Or we'll send double rock hard ant0898 round.

i use duraglit on mine woks a treat,,better than t cu
