The next couple of weekends see some of the most exciting events in
the UK off road motorsport calendar.
First of all the Scottish Hillrally on the 11th and 12th. Always a
cracking event. Using some of the best terrain in the UK the Scottish
Hillrally is a real challenge for the competitors. Only the toughest
survive this Perth based event, but rarely do the competitors hold
anything back. (www.scottishhillrally.co.uk)
The weekend after (19th/20th July)sees round 3 of the Goodyear British
Off Road Championship also held in the Ochil hills near Kinross. This
round marks the halfway point in the season and the competition is
beginning to hot up. Again some of the best terrain and some of the
best drivers.
Why not come up and marshal on either event and get the chance to
drive some of these classic stages - Give Andy Mills a ring if you are
interested 0789 9970731.
Entries are still available for the clubman section of the British Off
Road Championship round (£50/day)for those of you that have a
competition car sitting idle in the drive!
Hope to see some of you there. I'll be competing in Nessie, Mike
Bruce's famous Series 1 on the Hillrally and am helping to organise
the British round the week after.
If you have any questions on either event, either email me via
[email protected] or give me a call 0777 5655256.
Regards
Henry
