Hi All,
Just introducing myself. Have been lurking here for a while and soaking up loads of useful stuff, which (hopefully) will have helped me to make sure that my latest impulse purchase isn't a bag of rust n trouble!
Picking up a 1994 Defender 90 300TDi on Wednesday next week (Christmas present to myself). Looked at 7 or 8 others before I chose this one - geez, there's some nasty ones about (it surprised me that the two worst ones were both at dealers - painted up to look really pretty, but crawl around underneath with a torch for a few mins then start running).
Anyway, having eddicated myself enough / a bit thanks to you fine lot, I finally found what I think will be a good 'un. By which I mean, it won't always start, will have more leaks than a chancellors budget speech and will glide around corners as smoothly as a camel on a skateboard. I think I'll love it!
Doubtless I will be calling for help every time I get stuck, and I thank you in advance for not being too hard on my numpty ways.
Cheers
Steve
