Sat Nav

I have a Dec. 2000 Vogue 4.6 (pic attached) The book on the factory Sat Nav ssay it is a CARiN II. In order that I may update it can anyone tell me what model no it is..........can't find any model number anywhere.

Also has anyone loaded the software update discs that yuou see for sale? Did it go smoothly?

I have a 2001 Holland & Holland and puchased the 2007 NAVTEQ CD for Europe from Ebay. As for model number the Disc covers all Pre 2002 Range Rovers. See Link Below:

The problem I have is that the Sat Nav system is far from perfect, normally I get down the bottom of the road and the Sat Nav loses me. Trying to find out what I can do.

I have purchased a VDO Dayton disc, does anyone know if this will work or does it have to be NAVTEQ?

Sabbsy, I have heard of the Holland and Holland but never seen one, do you have any pics?

hmmm, you need to travel the motorways more

seen two this week, one on the M40 and one on the M6! both were looking very clean and pristine. For once I did't feel silly either passing them as my P38 was also sparkly clean

lol, forgot to add I also have seen one, well a foreign one at the Rolls Royce & Bentley show in Kelmarsh last year...

...and you have got me there!! Never seen a Linley personally. Ive seen pictures of one over at rangerovers.net that someone has seen in London but thats it. Im personally not a fan of the black wood, however, I still want one just so I can say... 'yeah, I own a Linley'. Still, most people wouldnt have a clue what you were talkng about even then!!

there you go, theres only one picture there but still, thats it. it just looks like a standard P38 really. Be happy with what you have though, dont go wanting a Linley because if you do your Holland & Holland will know and start breaking on you - trust me
