Sat Nav Unit - ? no power?

Hi all,
I have an 04 RR Vogue, and it has what I believe is the BMW style sat nav system in the boot. It looks like a CD player. I have a disc to go in it, however there doesn't appear to be any power to the unit? No lights on, and nothing happens when I push what appears to be the eject button?

Is this something simple, ( like me ), maybe I have missed something?
I have no manual, so cannot reference that!

Ignition on? Just guessing here but if you start to push the disc in does it wake up and grab it?
