Hi all,

I know that there is a sat nav thread but I thought I'd start a new one as my problem is slightly different.

I have a 2006 HSE TD4 last of the old series which I am over the moon with but dissapointed with lets say retro to be nice sat nav system.

Also my darling of a three year old son decided to rev disc 2 on the dashboard while I was in paying for my fuel .

I know I shouldn't have left it out.

The down side is that disc 2 wont read in the unit.
So I'm pretty much screwed.

I dont really know what my options are.
I know the main dealer will rip me off so thats a non starter.:(

I read on the other thread something about using BMW discs as they are compatible and are a better spec !!!

Does anyone have any info which may help me.

I look forward to hearing your replies.

Thanks James... aka rowansdad

The navigation discs are made by Navteq - check your damaged disc.

Many turn up on ebay, so might be worth a look.

2nd option: Buy a tomtom which will be easier to use and more up to date. Also portable between vehicles.

3rd option: Sell your Becker sat nav system (mine sold for over £137 on ebay) and I bought a brand new VDO unit for £119 (also eBay) which plays MP3 and is easier to program.

Regards,

Steve
