Sat Nav Head unit and ipods

Hello, and apologies if this thread has appeared before.
I've had a quich search round the forum but still need some help!

I have A 2004 TD4 HSE with the satnav head and alpine cd changer, and want to install a connector to my ipod. Halfords, and other places on t'internet only seem to stock connections for freelanders up to 2003!!

Does any-one know what type of connectors are on the back of the head unit? I might then be able to source something from my clever friend who knows about electronics!

I removed a mobile phone system from same car as you. IT had a cable block that fitted in the back of the head unit and the 2 original blocks fitted into that effectively breaking into the system. I dont recall an input for external item though. However all the cables were labelled so if you take the head unit out you may see somewhere to splice into.

ps I used a set of Feeler gauges to push back the lockpins

The iPod connection can be done with the Becker Nav unit, however if I recall correctly I think it'll be at the expense of the CD changer. The audio in connections are used by the changer. If the changer connection is removed you can access an aux menu via the radio controls. The following gismo allows connection to iPod in lieu of the changer audio cable
