Hi Guys/Gals
I know there are many posts on the Salisbury diff but... Have a whiny rumbling from the rear and by jacking up and running with one wheel in the air managed to rule out wheel bearings so probably diff bearings. Never done a salisbury before (will have a go without spreader) but I assume if you put the same bearings in as are there already you wont need to bugger about with the shims. Question is Island 4x4 do an 'OEM' diff kit https://www.island-4x4.co.uk/differential-diff-overhaul-salisbury-dok003-p-37582.html but with NTN.
I know NTM are a quality bearing but will it be the exact Dimensions to avoid re-shimming etc???
Or better staying with Timken (assuming that is what is in it) 1996 300 tdi 110.
Views??
Thanks in advance
