I have a s3 gearbox that I want to overhaul to fit in my s2, its "a good box" but that's the word of the seller. Is there a link to an overhaul thread either on here or elsewhere, or a decent manual.

Look in my series rebuild thread, got quite a few pics of the rebuild i did in there. If you cba scrolling through all the pages to find it, I put them all in a seperate thread on ollr Sam's Gearbox Overhaul

Also theres a website that has the pdf of the workshop manual (proper one, not the haynes book of lies) and thats very good pdf Land Rover Manuals | Landroverweb.com

Thanks will have a look through your thread, I have all the manuals on pdf but what i need is some advice on how to tell if parts are usable or need renewing.

best thing might be to put pics up of the ones you can't tell if they are worn and people should be able to tell you
