S2 flat front valance holes

Could anyone tell me if this panel had three holes drilled in it just in front of the grill panel, or has someone done this after. mine has them and I can't see the point of them as there is nothing to bolt on to underneath.

I repaired my panel by sticking some thin aluminium plate over the holes on the back of the panel with araldite. They can then be filled on the visible side using body filler and smoothed off. Once painted you would never know they were there.

Even better, if you know someone who can TIG weld aluminium, they could properly fill the holes in.

Im going to glass fibre back off holes and fill, already done this on the dash panel that had unwanted holes drilled in.

If you're talking about these holes...

They're for these brackets..

Sorry for any confusion I'd assumed (stupidly) you were talking about other holes cause without the brackets there's nothing to hold the apron except two tiny screws at the front

As you can see from the pictures I don't have any brackets, but it looks like something has been cut off the front crossmember ( bit big for valance bracket? ) and the valance has three holes.

The brackets BB showed share the same bolts as what bolt the front panel to the chassis

Front panel only one bolt too chassis, another bodge job i will have to sort.Or are S2 flat valance different to the curved ones.

Should be 3 I think unles its different mounting to a series 3. One in the middle and 1 either side
