I know there are a number of threads on this mod and I've read them all and also posted this question in one of them without response, hence as fresh thread.

I'm trying to wire up the passenger seat heating element (supposed to be the easy one). All the guidance I find just says Red +ve/Black -ve (obviously) but there's no mention of the brown wires I've got - one alongside the red and one alongside the black. Tried ignoring them and wired just the Red & Black but no luck.

What are the brown wires for and what do I do with them?

Stick 12v to them as well and find out. Might need a switched live

Thanks.
Intend putting a switch and relay in but the way the Browns are separated, 1 each to the Red & the Black seems odd for them to also require 12vs. Have other come across this when doing theirs?

This is the thread I used to wire mine up. Not finished yet though but it set my mind at ease on how to do it. I’ve got the seat drivers seat motion done and still to connect the heated part, but follow this and it should be fine.

Thanks, really useful for the rest off it and encouraging high standard installation and safety but it doesn't explain the Brown wires. And the YouTube link seems to have disappeared.

Hi guys!
Heating instalation for RX8 seats it is controled by swiches only?
I put on my Jimny a pair of seats and I am afraid to wire the heating because I don't know if it's ECU controled or only switch, with termosthat in the seats pad. If so, any switch or I must search original rx8 ones? Thanks!
