Hi, I'm new to all this but thought it was the best way to get some advice so I hope there's a lot of well informed landy owners out there.
I have a 1996 Defender 90 300Tdi in generally good condition but with a really annoying rusted out section on the rear passenger side corner. I think it's called the capping piece and it's between the body and the roof section?
I've obtained a galvanized replacement which i am in the process of spraying and I hope to fit it this weekend. However, somebody told me I may have to remove the roof to do so which means this isn't going to be as easy as I had hoped. Is this true and if so can I just remove a few of the roof bolts and flex it to get the new corner piece in?
I look forward to hearing your suggestions (hopefully, what I want to hear).
Cheers for now.
Andy.
