rubbing noise

i have a 90 td5 driving today when ever i was turning left or going left around a bend i heard what seems like a rubbing noise coming from the wheels i think more on the drivers side.
later on it was happening in a straight line only when driving slower though,when cruising it seems ok.
my bro jacked it up and span the wheel and we heard it once make the noise, he thinks it could be a bearing but i have no idea.
springs look ok we bounced my d90 a bit but nothing.
power steering is ok too.

any help would be great thank in advance
