Anyone any idea how to stop the genuine land rover rubber matting in the footwells from sweating?

all is dry on the tops, but underneath it sopping wet, think it sweating from rubber/foam to metal painted floors.

I'd say it's unlikely to be "sweating", especially if the carpets are really soaking wet. I have LR rubber mats and I don't suffer with them sweating.
I'd be more inclined to start looking for where the water is getting in.
Pull the carpets back and have a close look at the condition of the floor, bulkhead, bulkhead seals and down behind the kick panels.

I dont have carpet, i have rubber matting in my td5, floors look fine and cant see anything else wrong. rubber matting is dry as a bone on the top, but lift the matting and its wet

That 'sweating' will be water leaking in without doubt...... Screen hinges, screen seal, footwell, door seals...... The list is quite literally endless.....enjoy. A
