Hello everyone,

My rear window demist isn't working and investigation would suggest that it's the element that has failed, as the wiring and indeed the switch is functioning correctly.

With this in mind, who is the best source for a new tailgate glass for a 1994 Range Rover Classic and what sort of price should I be paying?

Any advice welcome and thank you in advance.

Regards

Marsh

If the tracks are printed on the surface of the glass, small breaks can be repaired with a special conductive paint.

Rutland isn't well known for stray flying bricks. It isn't like London! Rifle pellet, possibly.

When mine got smashed it was on the drive back facing the house, i looked out the window and it looked lick it was frosty, no the window was smashed but in one piece no sign of any damage, so car stay where it was till changed.

At least 35 years ago  , a mate of mine had similar with a Lotus Sunbeam ...... we turned up at his for a few beers, intending to stay over... and whilst at his front door on the way in, there was this weird noise - like an explosive "whump", but really quiet, then a finger nails on glass type sound, and we all watched as his windscreen broke up into a million pieces and dropped into the car o_O - Took us the following morning to get the worst of it out the car, and the windscreen guy reckoned it was a stress riser in the glass that had been hit by a stone, and set the process off - reckoned it happened quite often.....
