Greetings to all from the Great Pacific Northwest. I do not own a Land Rover, but I do own a late model (1999) Rover Mini Cooper and I hope someone can help me with a Mini question. The late model Minis have a Multi Point Injection (MPI) system, factory alarm systems, etc., much the same as many late model Land Rovers. My problem is that no one in the U.S. Mini community has the knowledge or equipment to work on these late model cars.
My question is: Does anyone know if Land Rover dealerships have the diagnostic programs and equipment to be able to plug into my Mini (rectangle, 16-pin plug) for trouble shooting and repair? There are a great many late model MPI Minis in the U.S. but we do not have access to Rover Mini dealerships. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
