Roof rack bars/ roof cage for 90 pickup?

Hi, as the title says, any real world experience with something suitable. Everything seems to be for modern roof rails/flush fitting type vehicles?

second hand! There is an almost endless supply of roofracks and bars for defenders on ebay/facebook/4x4 auto jumble. ranging from the simple box section brownchurch style up to the modern aluminium flatrack. In terms of my experience I have a set of roof bars that were second hand that made way for a full length brownchurch roofrack. Unless you want a roof tent (then you need a flat rack) imo the brownchurch cage style rack is the best option as an all rounder.

It is also likely to cost you half as much as a new one as they are horribly over price, even when you factor in a light sanding and some paint a used one will be much cheaper.
