Romania Trip (Planning Stage)

Hi everybody!

I'm new to the forum and to the whole Landy world with my latest purchase, which happens to be a dark green 1997 Disco 1.

Got a few questions to anybody who is in the know about Romania and it's wonderous off-roading offers.

1. What are the rules and regulations for off-roading in Romania? Are there any particular places that have to be avoided? Are the tracks limited to locals, certain licenses, and so on?

2. Are there any uncertainties that must looked out for in Romania on such a trip? By this i mean safety, rescue, or re-fuelling?

3. Is there anything in particular that one must take with on the trip other than the general "must-have's" for an off-road trip?

Wait a couple of months then come to Barnsley, the rules re off roading are the same, the north is in the Third World and come February, the gypsies will have consolidated their bridge head and will be infecting the country.
