When I apply the hand brake on my 2004 td5 90 I can still push the vehicle about 8in forwards and backwards before it stops with a clunk. Has any one got any idea what it might be? ive already changed the prop UJ's

Its because its a transmission hand brake and has to take up all the slack in the diffs, halfshafts, and both propshafts before the car stops moving where as on most cars the hand brake is part of the rear brakes and locks the rear wheels when you apply the hand brake.

if you aint done em, the drive flanges/members wear quite well.

after that, just put up with it, its part of being a landy.
