Whilst removing the cover to replace the cover gasket and injector harness as part of the general maintenance I found the left rear bolt was barley tight, the rest of the bolts were over tight. Yes oil was present in the ecu red plug but not excessive.The lid was blathered in rtv (cover to gasket) so obviously someone just bodged the job. Am I surprised, no.
I cleaned everything being as meticulous as possible and dry fitted the cover gasket with the bolts at 9nm as the stripped bolt certainly isn't. I plan to sort the issue and helicoil it before the next change if it continues not to leak. I've not driven it until I sort the oil pressure light (no light) issue hopefully this weekend.
