Alright all,

Got a '86 90 county and have a small oil leak coming from the middle bolt/nut on my rocker cover. is this likely to be the gasket or just some sort of washer/seal inside the fixing hole???

Hello,

If its leaking from the bolt / nut, it's a simple matter of replacing the copper / steel washer if it's an N/A or TD, or the plastic washer / seal if it's a 200TDi or a 300TDi. No need to remove the rocker cover in either case. If you don't have a replacement washer, just clean the area up with white spirit and then run a bead of silicone sealant around it to hold it tight. It's quite common on older engines, particularly the N/A or TD
