So my 2013 freelander has xenon headlights.. similar to my 2005 disco 3

When I brought the disco to Spain I flicked a switch in the headlight unit to make them flat beams.. is there similar in the freelander ? If so, anyone got any pics as to where it is or a description of how to find it?

I believe the xenon headlamps do have the lever to convert from RHD to LHD, and it should be in the owners handbook.
I don't believe the halogen headlamps do though, and lots of later FL2s had projector halogen headlamps instead of xenon lamps.

Hey, thanks for reply..
Yep I know the older halogen ones can't be changed over..
How do I tell the difference between xenon and projector?.. these may well be projector type..they look the same as my D3.. like an opaque ball .. ?
I haven't got a user manual for it, are there any links to online manual?

The way the lights light up is the giveaway. Projector halogen light up like normal bulbs, lighting instantly, but xenon flicker to start up, and take a few seconds to reach full brightness, the colour is more blue too.

Unfortunately xenon and halogen projector lamps look the same, but performance is very different.

Have you actually looked in the headlight to see if you can see a little switch/flap? Or even read the manual last resort I know;)
they are fairly obvious once you know what you are looking for, Our 2011 L322 its a white plastic bit on the lever not easy too see but if you take a pic with your phone you maybe able to make it out.
