Revs bouncing!?!?!?!

Hey all a quick question, my auto 99 td5 discovery when at 2750rpm the revs go up and down like a rev limiter???? Only started today! Tried unplugging maf with no difference? Starts up fine etc pulled a 2 ton trailer fine up to those revs??? Checked turbo actuator and it moves freely and turbo hoses not collapsed

Someone on facyjas mentioned the fuel filter so I'll try that

do you still have EGR?...if yes this could be clogged, check fuse F2 in engine bay to rule it out, other suspect is the wastegate modulator, take the pipe from it's bottom which comes from the intercooler and do somehow to connect it directly to the wastegate actuator valve, if it will run ok like this then that's it

The egr is blanked off but ill try the pipe thing, thank you

Once again sierrafery you have saved the day , I bypassed the modulator and no mor rev bounce!! So ill get that sorted..Cheers
