take that Leyland badge off the back, no one wants to be reminded of that :D

I should love a stage one, I agree with the Daihatsu wtf, i know its a good engine etc but a stage one should have a v8 in it.

what on earth possessed someone to take the v8 out, would make more sense to have sold it and bought a diesel 109.

pity no pix of the insides, if I was close to where it is I would be intrigued enough to go take a butchers at it.

No doubt that the Daihatsu 2.8 is a reliable, torquey and economical motor BUT its just not cricket to take out a V8 and put one in a Stage 1, in my world anyway. But I guess 10 years ago it may have been the done thing. I would loveto buy the thing regardless of condition and do her up, obviously replacing the Daihatsu engine with an Isuzu 2.9.
