Hi all, I'm looking for a recommended supplier for a recon/new cylinder head in the UK?

I've recently changed the head gasket, water pump, P-gasket, thermostat and all hoses after my expansion tank blew up, but after a couple of hundred miles I'm still slowly losing coolant. I guess the head is warped after all....

If anyone has had good service and can recommend someone I'd appreciate it.

Try a pm to James if I were you! ;):)

i have a really good used head here if thats any use? skimmed around a year ago and fitted with a fresh gasket and no issues :) was removed as bottom end started going

Apart from James, who I've 'started a conversation with' (is this the new PM option?)

Does/has anyone else out there have a recon cylinder head supplier they would recommend?

Bought a new cylinder head from ebay. Bit of a risk as it's one of those supposedly 'uprated' heads with better cooling... However, fitted it yesterday and took it for a test drive and all seemed well.

Just a reminder to anyone else as I had forgotten some basics:

Make sure you have a torque wrench that covers the range for the job (injectors & glow plugs)
Order any studs, nuts, copper washers, gaskets etc. before you start.
It's always handy to have a selection of jubileee clips.
