Hi all,

Im living in Devon by the coast now and the chassis on my Td5 is taking a hammering. I want to have the whole thing put onto a galvanised chassis but don't have the time to do it myself at the moment.

Does anyone know of anybody who can do this in the South West and what sort of price your looking at for the work. Is it best to have a new galv chassis or the original one dipped (I've heard there is a risk of warping etc)

Cheers

Worth a search as there's a lot of threads on this

Beleive it's cold quenching that can warp the chassis - better if left to air dry

Think you'll be budgetiing £2 - £2.5k to buy a new galv chassis and have it fitted - it's 2 - 3 days work for a garage that's used to it
