Gents,

Ive acquired a set of rock sliders but am having trouble fitting them at the moment. Theres a pole that should fit snugly into the tubular rear outriggers on my 90 but these are a bit too full of rust and dirt. Ive tried scraping and blasting it with a pressure washer but its still far too tight to get the rock sliders in. They definitely fit but has anyone got any ideas for removing the rust etc... Unfortunately its too tight to get a wire brush in there but i thought maybe there was some solution or other i could use to clean it up a bit more.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

Off the top of my head the diameter may only be about 2 inches. Never thought about using a drill attachment, i know there are probably some quite small ones. The problem would be getting it all the way down the length of the tube though as its probably about a foot long

Can you measure the outside diameter of the tube that goes into these outriggers for me Dave? I am going to make my own sliders, and I've wondered what size tube to use. I know I can measure inside Dia of outriggers, but just curious to see what the proper size is.

Will do mate, ill measure it when i get home but i wont be able to post it until tommorow when im back in work as im having problems with my internet at the moment.

I reckon a bit of sanding and a big mallet may be the way forward, thanks for the reply
