Remote locking

Hi need help, my 2004 mk1 Freelancer will not unlock on passenger door using remote it only opens with handle from inside.
But it will lock from remote when locking the car how can I fix it?

How many doors does it have?

Have you pressed the unlock button on the fob a second time to unlock the other door(s)?.

It's a 5 door and yes I double click the fob button each time to open all doors but passenger door will not open.

Time to take the door card off and have a look at the lock and wiring.

Just buy yourself a replacement lock assembly and replace it. I'd be changing the window cable at the same time, as you can guarantee the cable will fail shortly after you reassembled the door.
It's not that taking the door card off is difficult, but you will probably need to remove the window and regulator to get to the lock assembly, so you might as well change the window cable at the same time.
