Hello anyone who reads this, I’ve just been very lucky to be gifted a 2003 disco 2 with 100k miles as the place I work in are upgrading, basically I understand that this is not the best model of disco or the most reliable but it’s been given to me so I’m not going to complain. I was wondering if anyone has a straightforward list of thing I can modify to increase reliability... any advice at all would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum!

I had a disco 2. They’re good vehicles, they just respond better to regular maintenance. As mentioned, check the rear chassis for rust. If you get a slow coolant leak, check the head gasket towards the rear of the engine too, mine went which explained the coolant issue. Otherwise, no problems with mine.
