Hi there
I've been a member for quite while, haunting the Range Rover section, learning a lot and getting information.
My brother recently got a Freelander 1 TD4, and I have been researching and getting information on the car (I'm the technically minded one).
He is staying with me this weekend, and last night, while I was reading about the EGR bypass (that was one long thread :)), I suggested that he sign up.
He tried to do that late last night and was not accepted, getting a message that "we do not accept spam".
Is this because he is connecting via my internet connection and there is already a registered user at that address?

He isn't that bothered and said he would try again when he gets home next week, I'm just curious as to the reason.

Multiple registration will get flagged up by the software but shouldn't prevent registration as far as I'm aware.

I can't see anything unusual flagged up

Hi there.

After a hiatus, my brother has been trying to register again with the website.

Even when giving my user name as a referral and after using alternative e-mail address it still says that registration is denied and that this site has an active anti spam policy.

He has sent a message as requested and has had no response.

He has now given up....pity, because he thinks this is an excellent site for his Freelander, if not for registering.

Regards
Don

To the OP, I'm no expert in this but I had a similar type thing. It sounds like somebody has a PBL on their IP address. A PBL is a policy block list and typically it means the ISP is using a range of IP addresses that have in the past been associated with spam type activity. You'd need to check (ask somebody who knows!) about white listing the Ip and MX records or speak directly to your ISP. HTH
