Hello
I own a 1988 Land Rover County 110 and it's fitted with the white wheels but they are rusty and need a refurb.

I am guessing the easiest way is to sand them back smooth and then repaint them.

My question is what type of paint should I buy that will give me similar colour to the original wheels?

White will likely be LRC456 Alpine White

I did mine - wire brush on drill, rust converter, prime, top coat, lacquer

Started rusting again within 6 months

If I do again, will get shot blast

The original colour would have probably been "Limestone". The colour often matched that of the roof.

Thought I'd update this thread. I found someone local to me who refurb them properly (full strip, primer, paint etc for £65 per wheel. Colour used was Ivory White.
