Red light flashing

Have a TD5, only had it a month. Tonight I noticed a red flashing light in the middle of the speedo. Is this normal? Fitted a roof lining today and wired in the courtesy light, have I messed up electrics. Is this warning immobilzer/alarm switched on?

If its when the keys are out the ignition, its the alarm/immobiliser tell tale

Cheers, I'm a bit dumb when it comes to electrics and was concerned I had screwed up, many thanks for setting my mind at rest!
