Not sure what sort of wierd, wonderful or joke replies I will get to this so here goes...

On my TD5 2006 90 the rear wiper goes really slow. I have replaced the wiper blade so not that being old or worn, window can be wet but still goes really slow and I mean slow! The blade does the full arc on the window and goes back to rest in the same place so working correctly.

Anyone have any ideas what it can be... It's one of those things that drives me made.

Thanks in advance

Do you know anybody else with one to compare to?

If not, how slow is slow in seconds

Not got a rear wipe on mine, but would guess anything over 2 seconds would be slow

The drive spindle that goes though the door is probably seizing-up.

.

Use a little percussive maintenance and see if it runs any faster :D:D

Could be a bit stiff in the spindle sleeve.

Do you have any problems with the electrics at the back? I had a bad earth that was turning on the heated rear window whenever I put on the rear wiper which slowed it down

Could the splines (grooves) have worn on either the spindle that goes through the door, or possibly on the inside of the wiper arm where it attached to the spindle?

Cheers guys for your ideas, I will look at the weekend when light and dry. Not tonight as blowing a bloody hoolie outside....yes I am in Scotland!

Cheers again
