6 months after buying my 90 I got round to having a look at the non working rear wiper and washer.
1st check was the fuse which was shot. New fuse fitted and had rear washer but still no wiper. Check for power at wiper motor contacts and all seemed fine so time to have a look at the motor itself. At this stage its a shot to nothing, whatever I do to cock up the motor will only be as bad as needing to get a new one anyway, so worth a look.
Take off wiper arm, unbolt wiper assembly and disconnect electrics, hold in vice by spindle shaft and remove cover plate from gear housing with a fine pry bar/screwdriver, lever off actuating arm between main gear and shaft end.
At this point it was obvious that the wiper shaft was seized in the tube (I had exactly this problem a few years ago with a 110) so removed the small circlip and washer from the end of the spindle and carefully tapped it clear with a small hammer, full of a gunkey mixture of water and rust.
Cleaned shaft with fine wet and dry, inside of tube with wet and dry wrapped around a chainsaw file, fitted new "O" ring to shaft, loads of grease to shaft and tube and refit, reposition cover plate and with a small cold chisel re-set the moulded rivet heads.
Refit and pleased to say "jobs a good-un".
Quite possibly been covered here before, quite possibly a better way of doing it anorl, but as this is the 2nd time I've had this same problem thought it might be of interest.
